The renown German publishers Taschen, highly regarded for their books on art, architecture and design, have selected ALMA DEL TEMPLE as one of the most stunning restaurants in the world in their just released “Restaurant & Bar Design”, a special book which gathers up projects from around the planet with an outstanding layout. This book highlights a total of 100 properties from “The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards’, the world’s only event dedicated exclusively to hospitality design, which in practice comes to recognize the most beautiful restaurants on a global basis.

Located on the lower ground floor of CARO HOTEL, this spectacular space was designed by Francesc Rifé and was built upon the very foundations of the 12th century Arabic wall of Valencia (Spain). ALMA DEL TEMPLE stands out for its balanced combination of natural light, continuity of first-class materials, steel and dark glass which indirectly provides a mirror effect.

ALMA DEL TEMPLE is divided into three different areas: The Arch Room, the principal restaurant area, presided over by an impressive 15th century Gothic Arch; The Glass Ceiling and Arabic Wall, a geometric space which allows the room to fill with natural, overhead light; and The Private Wall Room, nestled within the space delimited by the foundations of the outer face of the Arabic wall of Valencia and one of its watchtowers.

Recommended by the Michelin Guide 2014, ALMA DEL TEMPLE stands out as an optimal choice for those who search for an excellent gastronomic experience in a truly unique atmosphere.
