La Cartuja de Ara Christi

The Monastery of La Cartuja de Ara Christi, located in Valencia, founded in 1272, built in the 17th century and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, making it one of the most exclusive places in the region to hold any type of event or social act.

It has an immense church with its central piece covered by four starred ribbed vaults and two simple ones. There are twenty-four gilded and polychrome wooden keystones (1625) crafted by the Aragonese sculptor Juan Miguel Orliens, which are superimposed on the stone keystones. In “La Cartuja” are six chapels in the side naves and the dome is supported by four sculpted pendentives with the evangelists and the vault has typical Valencian polychrome graffito work. The complex is surrounded by a completely landscaped area and six exclusive spaces in its interior perfectly adapted to the tastes and needs of the clients.

Each year in La Cartuja, around 150 events of different kinds are held, both corporate events and private celebrations with great detail. The gastronomy is provided by Gourmet Catering & Events, which for over 60 years has been a reference in the Valencian Community for its versatility and flexibility in adapting its services to each event.
